Make it known how many real players are on the server from the menu. completely pointless to go on a server that has many players which all turn out to be AI. Also there is no clear info what cars they use, rules, nothing.
Yeah the online UI is strange indeed. No mention of what cars are being used and also no real reason of why I can't join in online races. I joined a stream Stock car group and when trying to join those events I get, "package not available". Very confusing to say the least.
This one has nothing to do with the other! "pachage not available" comes when server is not setup for getmod - downloading the content what is the "fault" of the server admin. Some do it on purpose though.
Yes, I have tried to 'find' certain mods online, only to be denied by the PNA. (like I don't have enough cars and tracks already....)
Issues already well noted by Devs and mentioned dozens of times over the years . Will definitely be on 397 fix list . Patience folks
Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but is the a date on when the player count will be fixed? It never used to count AI players in the lobby. With the way it works now, I find it almost impossible to hop on a server for a quick race (this is especially frustrating when I wait for a mod to download, finally get in game and find a field full of AI). I hope that displaying the correct player count is in the next release - this is a CRITICAL fix (for me), and the old lobby displayed the correct number, so I'm guessing this is not a big fix.
I don't see lots of potential fixes in the roadmaps, doesn't mean they're being ignored, just pointless naming every single one. Besides this particular issue might get sorted with the new UI
I'd imagine filtering in mp Lobby would be on the cards but probably not as essential as other fixes.. l find myself using 'favourites 'to weed out heavily AI biased servers of late
Thats good to hear! I Mainly use Rfactor to learn tracks. But ones in a while i give it a go to play online, but as mentioned before, most often only AI. Thats why i never look again for online race. I really hope for a filter or something. No AI. Or something? Well see fingers crossed! Its on the table so thats something!
