win10, t300rs(latest updates, also tried with previous update) problem: only feel that i have is oversteer, no understeer or tire lock ups, no surface effect, so just oversteer. with gt3 pack i get everything just not with endurance pack. tried: checked for updates, reinstalled rf2, checked and tried tons of settings for my wheel ingame and thrustmaster control panel.
Can you describe the problem a little more? When you say you can feel oversteer, do you mean the wheel turns into a slide? If that's the case, what are you feeling beforehand? Does the wheel centre itself down straights? What is your vehicle-specific-FFB set to? Have you tried checking the FFB output (using DAMPlugin or some other method) to make sure it's not clipping? (though then I doubt you'd feel oversteer) As much info as you can provide will help.
You could try deleting (or preferably cut and paste somewhere like desktop) the Controller.json in the Userdata folder and any controller profile json's you have made in Controller folder. Not at pc so those locations locations might be correct.
have you turned off the abs and tc and set both to the lowest setting in-car? And have you tried several cars in the GT3 pak? The Merc has a different feel than the Mclaren/Corvette/Bent.
We had the same oversteer problem until we realised that one has to change both front tyres as well as rears.
gt3 are fine with feel.... problem is with endurance cars. there is no understeer or slip angle to feel. wheel is self centering and its not clipping. ive tried different specific car ffb but didnt help at all, also smoothing and low torque. after the update i tried the new stuff in controller.json but its the same. the force in the wheel is the same when im braking or/and turning thus i feel no difference when understeer starts or stops, also slip angle is nowhere to be found. oversteer is fine but i hate when i have no feel on the front tires at all.... so i have to drive by sound which i dont like so i deleted the game and now with this update i installed back and tried if its any different. still no difference with front tires. i even looked into the wheel if sensor and magnet are in place. new firmware installed which was released a few days ago i think. i was worried that i might have problems because of win10 drivers but other games are fine and gt3 cars are fine also, so i dont understand if these cars drive like this but my friends are saying they feel slip angle but understeer is subtle. now im lost completly
i was about to ask people if they feel that something goes wrong with Norma FFB but i was thinking it might be my T150 wheel while i m breaking there is a spot that the revs goes down instantly and i loose the the force from the FFB its like i m turning the engine key from ON to OFF that kind of feel and it happens only while i m breaking and trying to go left or right very weird symptom of FFB only happens to Norma the rest cars of GT3 or GTE dont have that problem
If/when I slam through the gears downshifting, this can sometimes happen. I think it's an ECU thing, and may be working as it should...?... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_control_unit
thanks for answer mate i was really worried why this car reacts like that under breaking !!!! my whole force feedback goes bye bye until i lift my foot from break pedal and FFB comes back to life
@Jakal its ECU for sure it must be doing some fuel saving efficiency but it messes with my FFB a bit i can control it but i have to learn drive this car it is not like driving a normal GT3 car Norma is special type of car i must learn it
@mesfigas I think it has more to do with cutting out so the car is not destroyed with hard downshifts. It's definitely not like a GT3. It's an entry level prototype. It's more akin to a modern open wheel car, with a body around it and closed cockpit, than it is to a GT3. I just finished a series in the LMP3s. 8 races over some months now. It took some time, but after I got in touch with the car, I find it to be one of the best sim cars out there. After a few laps to warm it up, there's a confidence I have "on the edge" in this car that is lacking in many others. Definitely on of my favorites!
mesfigas what you are saying sounds more like locking the front tyres to me. Maybe the difference is not having abs?
OK These new cars (gt3, gte and others) has proper abs and traction control setting in the garage setup if they have those in real life. So gt3 for examble has tc and abs turned on as stock, even if you turn those off from difficulty settings.
