FFB issue after kerb strikes?

Last night, during 90 mins or so online racing, my FFB exhibited a noticeable pull to one side on 5 or 6 occasions after bouncing across kerbs. No car damage had occurred and an in-game FFB reset restored normal service while still on track...

I’ve had this literally once or twice in the (month?) leading up to last nights race - but never so often.

It’s as if the wheel gives such a jolt that it forgets the centre position by a few degrees...

I am running a Simucube 2 Pro - and yes, all of the above behaviour has occurred during the recent ownership of this device. And yes, last nights racing was immediately after updating their software and firmware,,,,

Anyone else seen something similar? Does the in-game FFB Reset action communicate with the hardware/wheel driver, or is it purely in-game (in which case it would seem to be an issue with rf2)?
