I love the new Ferrari 488 GTE! Really nice to have the manufacturer field in GTE completed for this WEC season.

For our mod, we would like to create some skins for it, but there’s no template available yet. Is it coming soon or should we expect it after the Virtual Le Mans race?

I haven't bought the car yet. Waiting to see if there is a pack or bundle with the GT3 version. It "could" be possible that Ferrari would not allow custom cars. I know they typically have a lot of pull when they hand out their licences. Just verifying, it isn't in the rfactor2/templates folder?

Question, in the showroom, are you still able to "Create Directory" and does that load the alt.dds to that folder? It might be possible to start work on that until the template is officially released.

We did get our hands on the current skins, but it's very time consuming to create new skins without the wireframe and it won't render naturally without the correct shaders.

how should the windows files be named? EXTRA something.
assuming my skin is called: alt.dds the window out should be? altEXTRA8.dds for example

It should be as the files are named in the templates: in this case _windows_in and _windows_out.dds.
You would use alt_windows_out.dds to package with your alt.dds skin.

Although, obviously don't name your skin simply alt.

thanks but that doesnt seem to work
well i named it alt and should always contain alt
ok so in case of: altmyskin.dds
    files would be named:

    - altmyskin.dds
    - altmyskinDRIVER.dds
    - altmyskinHELMET.dds
    - altmyskinEXTRA#.dds (where # varies e.g. 3 or 5 for Rims or some extras)
    - altmyskin_windows_out.dds.dds (DOESNT work)
