    Hi guys,

When not using ptool, there are still some chassis files coming up in the user data in devmode.
It does have some other values in there than in mine.

I ask myself; how does it get to that? How is the game to know what drives better?

Anyway; can I (is it wise?) just use those files instead of the original?
And when there are some more lines in the old chassis file; do I put them over to the new one?
The lines I mean are about graphics(??) and are right on the bottom. Can't get to them now, so I can't show you.

I'm interested in this; can anyone shine a light over it?
There is some explanation in the new file itself, but I don't understand that.

They are automatically generated to give you a starting INI for ptool. I wouldn't trust them to be 'better' than the ones you've put work into whilst working in ptool.

    Thanks for your response lordpantsington.

So, they are not finished actually? I didn't/don't work in ptool, so I should just leave them alone? It's just a preworked version for that tool, right?

They are generated from the .pm data you drive in devmode. They are just the first step for converting to a chassis file. One of the tutorials shows this.

Correct, a starting point for taking your physics to the next level using ptool.

I would leave them alone, at least until you've finished tuning physics.

    Correct.
