    Hello Simracers,
I often get the following error message when trying to join a server:
Error trying to install mod.Try manual installation.
But it doesn't always occur, it usually works without any problems, but on some servers I always get this message
Can anyone tell me how to fix this error?

Come on, guys! No idea? Nobody? I have this problem on many servers. Cannot join. This is very disappointing.

Means their servers aren't setup correctly to allow you to download the mods they use to join them.

Normally the S397 and ISR servers are setup correctly for this (with free content). Try those.

    Thx for your answer, WooDee.
There are some servers where it works perfectly. Also for me. But on others it does not. But it does work for other people on these servers. So, there is a problem on my side.
I really don't know how to solve this problem...

Depends on the content. You might have another update or skinpack for that content that is interfering. Find out from the people who can get in exactly which content it is and check what you have relating to it. ModMgr may help when investigating.

It can be also a "subscribed" content missing where you just need to subscribe.
I think rF2 never forces a subscription for the player.

After error pops go to the content manager and find the red crosses. Those are the files generating the error ...

If you see workshop on the row that says local or workshop, you probably need to subscribe to the content.
By "subscribe" i also mean buy content, could be free or paid content.

Only local content (ie "not workshop") will be uploaded by the server to the client ... i think ...
