Try installing the runtime files from the Support folder in the rf2 installation, I recall a similar issue a while ago I had and I think this fixed it

Looks like DX9 error to me. Try to reinstall DX9 files also from the Support folder in the rf2 installation.

Bwana, I had a similar problem when I was on Windows 8.... I had to go to the ...Windows\SYSWOW64 folder and delete the d3d9.dll file and then re-run the dx setup again.

    Cheers

Try running all the VC installers under the support folder too (as admin). What are your system specs? Fill in the details in your forum settings.

    Hi bwana,
from what I can find its a common issue and could be caused by many things, but usually windows data execution prevention, or a program that hooks into your rfactor.exe.

Could be logitech drivers, trackmap plugin not installed in correct plugin folder even, so disabling any that are used with rfactor may be a starting point. There is plenty of info about turning off DEP on the web, just search bex64 and see if something helps you out.

    Good luck
