Hi guys just wondering if theres any way of giving the cars we already have extra lock? if we could, we could drift the 370 or the GTR. The modding community just amazes me so theres got to be something someone can do. thanx
Its possible. But only in devmode. I tried to give the racing school car more lock, it worked but was bugged. At full lock, the car stopped instantly and shifted to N. However, i have no idea how to convert cars to Devmode.
I would love if somebody could do that in the 370Z. I think rfactor 2 physics are perfect for drifting.
I'm pretty certain that the Nissans are locked (unknown Mas key ) Edit: only the gmt's are locked the files you need to edit arent
yes more lock to lock. Too much would spoil it and pull it out of the slide when you dont want to and not enough would make it difficult to get the drift angles. I think we'll need around 60 degrees total.
Be sure suspension geometry allows such extreme steering lock... my guess is, guys who modify real 370s for drifting, change also some front suspension parts to allow such high lock (and also caster and camber).
Drifting rf2 could be nice. I extracted the masfile altered the hdv file, made a high SteerLockRange=(9,0.5,77) //(9, 1, 18) just as in rf1, but steeringlock remains on 26 degrees. What did i do wrong.
9 is the base 0.5 is the step size and there are 77 steps. The line under this will tell you what the start setting is. Or you could zero the last 2 numbers I.e. (40,0,0) but there will be no adjustability. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
The best drift car physics to date is this for rf1 by Niels. If you haven't already check it out = http://rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Fredric Aasbo Toyota Supra MKIV Drift
Please somebody give us the link to download a 370z with more steering lock. I think rain tyres would do the job only if whe had that extra lock.
