If anyone can help here it would be appreciated. As you can see in the attached screenshot the dashes are distinctly different. The one on top is an in-game shot where the dynamic text (gear, speed, laps) looks shadowy, while the same dash in Devmode looks fine (ignoring the hud overlay). Looks exactly like the problem I had. Try to avoid using full black (0,0,0) as black. It overwrote transparency for the HUD I made. X*0=0 (1,1,1) or even (5,5,5) is still pretty dark.
Still no luck. I made a number of changes and could not get satisfactory results. Could the background mapping have an effect on this?
