It would be great if the new UI would include this feature. As having to change graphics and display settings every time is a bit of a pain. Like PC2 and Content manager. You can have different profiles for VR and Monitors and makes changing from one to the next really easy.
I agree. But what interests me is to switch from a profile for *the hotlap with graphics to the maximum (VR), and a profile for *the race with 60 AI specifically (graphic profile that greatly relieves the CPU).
Like content manager. I have different profile based on the number of cars on track. From high setting for low number of vehicles to lower settings for many cars on track
As Jean says, in rF2 as it stands you can simply create two (or more) user profiles with different graphics settings.
I have written something that does exactly what you’re talking about (and other things), a bit like Content Manager, but it is taking as long as the fabled new UI to go from "kind of working" to "ready for beta testing". The latest version has a crude AI of its own that says "You have a PC with an 80% rating, you want VR, performance over eye candy, using a track that’s heavy on graphics, a car that’s light on graphics, it may rain and the race runs in darkness. I will set the graphics like this, this and this."
