Hey, I'm slowly getting into modding, following the documents ISI provided. But when I launched the Dev mode for the first time today, I thought it froze, because all I got was a black screen and program not responding in the tastk manager. I read the forum, tried some advice like tweaking the graphics settings and finally re-installing rF2 (and it's settings) in the root folder under c:\rFactor2. Still black screen, no response. I let it run for a while and sure enough, after 8 minutes ! I got a splash screen, and after another 6 minutes I was in dev mode. Also, navigating, going to settings, showroom, etc .. goes very slowly, takes like 1-2 minutes or so. Whats going on ? Has anyone else experienced this and what could possibly be the problem ? I've got no problems with the game itself, single player and online works fine, loads fast. Loading a track in Dev Mode also works normally. I'm running Windows 7 64bit, on the following hardware; - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0Ghz - Asus P5Q mobo - 4GB DDR2 800Mhz - WD 500GB 7200 rpm main drive - Sapphire Radeon HD6850 - ESI Waveterminal 192X soundcard any help much appreciated ! thanx
