I have installed Rfactor1 demo and played it, then installed Rfactor2 demo, but I cannot start it. I just get a brief time clock and nothing when I try. I have run the DirectX set-up during the install and afterwards, to check. I have installed in the default folder, but on my E: drive. Can you suggest what might (or might not) be happening? I'll state the obvious. Make sure the exe is pointing towards the same drive rF2 is installed on. Other than that, no idea.
Thanks. I ran it from the .exe that it pointed to and this morning it started! But although I have a G27 wheel and the game config shows the G27, I cannot move or steer! Can you advise me on that? Thanks Nigel P.S. The resolution of the display seems to be very low and worse than rfactor1. Is that intended?
You have to go into Options/controls from the main menu and click on detect to start to configure your wheel. You can change the resolution settings from the launcher/settings screen. To access the settings screen from launcher look on the left hand side for a gear icon and click on that. I also believe you can change the resolution from in game main menu under options/video res.
