    @Lazza

    Lazza - going back to the suspension histograms...

    If we have access to the vehicle HDV file (example below) - is it possible to interpret this and set meaningful high/low boundary settings in the Motec histogram properties?

    DamperMult=0.716
    SlowBumpRange=(2250, 550, 11)
    SlowBumpSetting=5
    FastBumpRange=(1500, 165, 11)
    FastBumpSetting=5
    SlowReboundRange=(3000, 575, 11)
    SlowReboundSetting=5
    FastReboundRange=(2100, 210, 11)
    FastReboundSetting=5

    The transition speed is defined by the BumpStage2 and ReboundStage2 parameters, near the ones you've pasted. If they're different you'll have to decide on a middle ground.

    Many Thanks @Lazza

    So in this case, Bump2 is 0.15 and rebound negative 0.1 (I understand the reason for the sign).

    So if I pick 0.13 as my ‘middle ground’…

    …how do I use this figure in Motec?

    Go into the properties for the histogram, you'll see where to enter it.

    Thanks - found it! The reason I overlooked it is because the Motec default seems to be '10' - if I enter the Bump2/Rebound2 figures directly (i.e. 0.13), this obviously gives a very-narrow peak...

    Is any scaling required (e.g. should I be entering '13' or multiplying the boundary by some other suspension factor/ratio?

    Thanks.

    99.9% of rF2 files are in SI units (metres for length, seconds for time), I believe i2Pro wants mm/s. So 130.

    Lazza, this is mainly for you.
    The other day I powered up an old PC and ran across an old MoTec Video I made a while back.
    We used it for developing a 4500 HP Hybrid drivetrain and later for Autonomous Drive.
    First time I drove this beast was on sheer ice and did doughnuts; Ft McMurray Alberta Canada.
    Enjoy.

    Hello,
    I want to put not defaut in "Hide Height" / "smooth by scale" example = 30.
    Every time I throw it’s always at 0, is there a way to permanently change it ?

    I'm not sure I understand, but I'd suggest making a new channel in Maths and do the smoothing there, rather than applying smoothing to the existing channel.

    Exact my sentence is incorrect sorry!.
    I put a picture that speaks more.
    It’s to put a value in the default filter. But I looked at it in detail and I think it’s not feasible.

    First. Thank you very much @Lazza for help today. :rolleyes:

    Second. I release today my mix workspace project with SR4L rF2 v.1.1+F3 2018 v.6 for MoTeC. Tested project in MoTeC i2 (Pro) 1.1.5.85.

    Third. Share your project for MoTeC.:rolleyes:

    Enjoy drivers!;)

    Hi guys, firstly this is my first post here.. pretty new to rF2 and I have to say it's very impressive...

    Secondly, many thanks to @Lazza for the MoTeC plug-in, it's working a treat, and the density of channels is superb.. I do have a little issue though.. I'm using the Oreca 07 and I appear to be missing a channel for RR Ride Height.. I have the other 3 corners, but just not that one..?

    Also, I don't appear to be getting values for oil & water temperatures. I did read somewhere that these don't get outputted from certain cars and I'm assuming the Oreca just happens to be one?

    Thanks in advance... Tom

    I checked on the Oreca and I had all four corners available. Double check the raw channels available and I'm sure you will find the fourth one.

    That's correct. In the .HDV file there's a section that tells which category of channels is able to put out data. This section should probably be updated to split up the categories more for better customization.
    If you find a channel that's showing a flat 0 it means that it's part of a category that's disabled. This is generally found on official content to hide some data, probably at the request of the manufacturer.

    Thanks for the reply Robin... I've checked the channel list and it's definitely not there?

    upload_2022-7-26_19-10-40.png

    Not sure what an .HDV file is, but I've edited the .ini file which allowed me to set which channel sections were logged, and the resolution..

    I've got the channels mainly set to 2 for the extra resolution (drive space isn't a huge issue, so might as well have the best I can get I suppose!), not sure if that might be a variable?

    Robin is talking about one of the files that defines the vehicle, and that's where the telemetry blocking occurs. Not something you can change directly as a user. (basically; there's a longer answer...)

    I think I would have tested all channel group options on 2 so I'm not sure why you don't have one of the ride heights in the list, but if others can test (maybe you could also attach your .ini for reference?) that may confirm sooner than I can check myself. If it's not working correctly I'll look into it :)

    Thanks for the reply bud, forgive my ignorance.. I've no idea how rF2 is set up.. I'm from ACC and I'm loving the level of detail you've managed to get from the sim (not that I know what to do with it mind you, but pretending to be an LMP2 race engineer is all part of the fun....)

    I'll get the .ini file off the sim PC tomorrow for you.. I'm sure it's something I've messed up :D

    @Lazza Hi bud, attached is the DAMPlugin.ini file I'm using... (I had to zip it as the forum wouldn't allow an .ini filetype)

    Cheers
