    Hello all.
I tried to create my own VR HUD in DevMod.
In DevMod folder the S397mas file and S397ini file, renamed to test_vr_hud.mas and copied back to DevMod folder.
In the DevMod selected the hud and started run.
I edited all the hud's I want in the middle (VR mode).
    I then saved that.
Then I created a new rfcmp file with the mas tool.
    This installed. 1.jpg 2.jpg 1 (1).jpg
The result was what you see in picture 3.
    What am I doing wrong?

    @StoneRacing
How did you managed your HUD?
I want the HUD's directly in the middle of my view.
When I drive through left or right turns, I want to have the HUD with the tires always in the picture.
I want to see in my shots what the tire is doing, or how high the front and rear brake temperatures are.

It would be better to post it in the modding forum

  4. Sorry - did not see this in time.

I am not sure if you can add the brake temperatures to the HUD, but if you want to have the tire info screen in the middle you need to move it around in devmode.

I need to look it up how - it 's been a while ago I have used the HUD editor.

I can send you the source and rfcmp if you like to.

    Which source do you mean?
    I already have your rfcmp.
But it is not quite centered.
If you could explain me how you did that would be great.

Did you checked my pics in the first post?
I centered the hud elements, saved it and packed it via mas tool as rfcmp.
    But it didn't work.

  6. Please keep in mind - my HUD is just a remix of the VR HUD available in Steam Workshop and it has been changed to my liking, including position of the different gauges and fields.

You can take the mas file from installed/hud/stonesvrhud and copy it over to devmode; you need to extract the ini file from the mas and store it in the same location.

After entering devmode and choosing the HUD you can enter HUD editor while on track (or at the pit) and there is a menu item for changing different HUD elements including their position.

If I remember correctly zero point is upper left edge, but changing position values will move items immediately so you can figure it out ...

edit: and you need to edit dashboard.tga (I think) in order to make things transparent or not ... but I need to do it myself in order to remember how it works
