3dsmax 2010 32bit is started as admin. Plugin is in startup directory as shown below. I had to run the script before it appears in the dropdown. After setting moddev directory I press Create track and it pops up this error. Any ideas?
"After setting moddev directory" you don't need to set the dev mode folder. Set only the rFactor2 folder.
"After setting moddev directory" you don't need to set the dev mode folder. Set only the rFactor2 folder. You have the "TEMPLATES" folder? close max and try again
I don't understand, how am I supposed to set paths to files that don't exist yet?! Create rF2 creates them from where? I have installed the plugin into the location like above, templates folder is in there too.
I set it to the rfactor2 folder and it finds the moddev bits, leaving everything else on default I get the error same as above. Maxscript listener: Is it suppposed to say "CreateTack()"?
Strange..check list 1- 3ds MAX run as Administrator? 2- "Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\3ds Max 2010\Scripts\Startup\rf2track\templates" have files?
Yup. Yup. In another thread I haven't been able to get the dev tools to open successfully: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/18753-RF2-Developer-mode-don-t-start
Have tried with everything installed to default locations. The data folder in my user documents folder has full privileges. I have not changed any privileges on core folder in program files. SAME ERROR.
3ds MAX need privileges to write in devmode/locations folder. I don't why ppl put data in user documents. I define all in some folder /rfactor2/userdata like rf1.
My data directory was outside the user documents area on a different drive, so there was no restriction to admin privileges. 3dsmax was always started in admin mode.
