As there recently has been some talks about how mucho terrible the graphics engine of rF2 is I decided to see what it is capable of and beefed up all the setting to the master extreme value to the max. Not too bad for a terrible looking game:
TBH, rF2 hasn't the reputation of a flashy graphic WOW type of sim. But I've never been that focused on graphics. Once you start driving my focus narrows down so much I rarely 'see' the things many others complain about. I have to go back to the track, choose an outside cam and actually look for whatever issue somebody thought was horrible. So yeah, flashy graphics are nice, make for great replays or screen shots, but in the end it's what is right in front of you that matters. If the reputation of poor graphics turns-off users or prevents them from trying rF2, their loss. Frame-rate and feel. My brain can fill in flourishes and frills.
