Durge, can you explain what was so great about b60's HDR?... Any pics (preferably with maxed out graphics, framerates don't matter with pics :) )?

omg early builds was awesome ?

i used it all the time with GTX460 SLi and only had 48fps at the start at Spa online F3- Rookies ! lol

Then .......it changed man ......................." you changed man......"

    lol

Build 60 had clean screen and better shadows and it just looked nice no profile needed.

I never liked the sky colour but terrible.

I dunno mate the build they stuck the bloom that reflected on the smiths tacho it went to crap , never recovered so far.

Mabye its was build4x something and 60 was the bad one, not 100% sure.

i never cared for old builds after use by date as soon as new lite is out i delete them all.

Even if I could go back to first build why would i had too much grip then F3 was like a steam roller. looool

    sry Tim ! :)

For me HDR then looked like this......

Now it looks bright and gaudy and black shadows with no contrast.

In early HDR the F1 F2 F3 had this " glint" from the sun on top edge of the smiths gauges and the gauges glass and cockpit magically reflected the shadow and light.

It looked realistic and added ambiance to the cockpit significant for me. :)

Then with next build instead on top of the tacho was this horrible bloomy orange coloured glinting ! ? and the good glass reflection on the gauges was gone. :(

Even though is was "faked" it still looked better then now.

Here good example Spin, this is when I had GTX460 single ( see OSD 997mb ) and we had lost mirrors and before DJCs mirror mod and Deuna was one of first addons we pedaled a fair bit, mad track. ( 2 ai must have been to help rubber first run )

That is Hector ( Hectari) on 2 wheels and even before we had skins. lol

Was using vsync and baby bum smooth + HDR.

You can see how plain looking the Smiths gauges look there, almost like there is no glass in them.

I can't find early images Spin, I think I posted them all direct here back then but the Gauges you could see yourself in, well you know what I mean ........

The cockpit glass still looked okay in early builds , the "splotchies" ( google lol ) came later.

You really do not want to read my old threads every time a new build came out and Evie's mirrors were not fixed.

I totally blame DJ "Crooky" ;) for maintaining my sanity in the early Evie era.

Never said just how much, so thanks DJ ! I will never forget those days. !

.......and now back on topic for edited screens "revisited" on that very topic.

Newbies .......Clio, Brabby, DJC, mirrors and mounting is all connected ......join the dots.

    loool :p

    oi oi +1 :)

.....and my style tj no HDR mate ?

Rather then gaudy colours, lifeless ugly blue sky or use a HDR profile to lighten it or do screens at sunset to hide it hey. lool

( not you personally just saying I see more orange and white skys then usual in a screenshot thread ) ;)

Sure No HDR certain clouds patterns can look " really off" but I pretty sure there will be a major cleanup later and we will have rFactor no HDR quality sky.

Overcast can look good at Spa using later time of day but mostly light clouds look best for mine at this stage.

    Thanks D...

No mate, I always use HDR, even though it causes some bugs/problems (as I`m always saying)

The few times I`ve tried no HDR I can say it has it`s good points yeh but I`d say 99% of the time I use HDR... :)

Not with you there mate...

They are HDR clouds, just cloudy/mostly cloudy/overcast etc... defo HDR was used in those shots. :)

Maybe it has something to do with the PS editing?

    PS tj

This looks closer to the shade of blue HDR needs for clear sky "automated profile" ....... I think. ;)

    http://postimg.org/image/nf6cqdp6z/full/

It looks slightly less chalky looking. :)

BTW I do not think the clouds at least in "mostly to overcast" look good at all, HDR or no HDR :)

I be bit surprised if there is not some update to it.

Either way it will not bother me anyways, no matter. ;)
