I'm working on a unique kind of HUD for rFactor 2. It is meant to be simple, yet stylish and easy to use, almost like Microsoft's Metro design language. The picture of this HUD is not functional; it's only my impression of it! The RPM/Speedometer circle shows your speed in kilometers (or miles), and the outline is actually a tachometer that orbits around the circle based on your car's RPM. Circulo will be available in seven colours: Blue, purple, pink, red, yellow, green, and white!
Yeah no worries, it's due to my lack of depth perception XDD It's only a drawing at the moment, so I can resize it.
Sorry but this is a NO from my side, even if I appreciate the effort. Just because I want to be constructive with my vote I will list some thoughts: Due to mirrors positions on top right and bottom left (reverse side if right side driver), hud elements should be focused on mirror free areas, top left and bottom right; Smaller elements but always good to read, you need to found the right compromise; Minimal design is ok but no need to use special fonts to look modern, numbers, names, times, etc should be always easy to read, better if you use (as general rule) the same fonts used on the SIM (it helps to perceive it as part of the title) Look at other sim/games most used huds for references, you don't need to "reinvent the wheel" start from them in order to improve your personal idea of HUD... Please don't take my opinions as critics, I just want to help, keep it up!
