CMS proudly announces the first Gold Series Event based on rFactor 2: We would like to drive up the attendance to this race, so please consider reading this thread and following the link to officially sign-up for the race! To race you must be registered at http://cmsracing.com and post a new member profile. We are a very established (since 1999) racing league, with a lot of members, a mature community, and great racing. We host one of the largest Lemans Series Based rFactor series online and our rFactor 2 series is growing every day. CMS Gold: 2.4 hours of Le Mans - June 28th 2014 A stand alone event and the finale of the CMS rF2 GT Challenge - All wrapped in one king-size package! It has been a long standing tradition that CMS hosts a number of Gold events during the year. These are tribute to some of the major real life long distance races: 24h Daytona, 24h Le Mans, Bathurst 1000 and 24h Nordshleife. Traditionally, the platform of choice has been rFactor 1 and a selection of relevant mods. This year, the Le Mans event will be based on rFactor 2, Le Mans 1991-95 and URD GT mod (Links etc. below). Besides being a special event, it will also be the finale of the ongoing CMS GT Challenge. The URD (United Racing Design) mod is probably the best GT mod for rFactor 2, but it is payware. It contains 5 well known GT cars hidden under aliases to avoid any trademark problems In reality they are: Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Porsche and Viper URD just revealed the first previews of the Ferrari 458). If you haven't tried these cars, a freeware version of the Corvette is available from URDs homepage. The URD and rF2 will be used in the next season for a regular series. Further, it is expected that URD also will release prototypes - In fact the first screenies were shown on Virtualr back in March 2014. If you haven't tried rF2 yet, you can download a free demo from ISIs homepage (Mods don't work with the demo - and a lot of people will tell you that the URD cars is a lot better than the ISI vehicles) Race details: Date: June 28th 2014. 9 PM CET / 2 PM CST Duration: 2.4 hours with 10× time acceleration (We will race dry, but through the night).
