Can't select Live Mapper in GMotor Materials.

    I can't seem to select the Live Mapper option for cube maps or adjust blend settings in the latest GMotor Material v2.52J, in 3DS Max 2012 32 bit. Using all the latest plugins and shaders and using the cube map from the rTrainer. Is anyone else having this issue?

    me too, and i was getting crazy.... 3DS Max 2011 32 bits.


    apart of that i had some conflicts between the Gmt importer 0.94 and the 2.52J. i had to delete the importer , and then 3dsmax starts correctly and the GMotor v2.52J works fine, except for the live mapper and sometimes it do not recognice correctly the .dds files for specular , it keeps saying that it do not have the correct dds format cube map, but it exports fine.

    Same here in 2010 version, but I realized that in the bump material it can be activated, it can be that cocasionates some tranparencys where they shouldn't be.

    if you apply render target and then retun to the material list window it returns to be unchecked.

    the problem with speculars , even if it do not recognize the dds as correct "dds cube map" it exports without errors but you get the errors later ingame (it fails to take the ¿¿¿bmp??? file) if you insist, and rename the specular texture to another name , sometimes you are lucky and it works.... (this happened to me also with the first 2.52b version) .

    Hi , if somebody still got them, can somebody please upload to somewhere the previous coreshaders.mas, the .dlu and .dlt files of the previous tools?

    i think is the 2.52... ¿h? , is a pain to work with the 2.52j and max 2011 right now,

    2.52j are great for the last export , because everything looks much better, but you can not edit anything because it "destroys" :D the material settings.

    is better to work with a previous version and then export with the last version, at least for me.

    i know i could reinstall an old version of rfactor2 and take the needed files but .. what version? the first one? or what is the best one?

    For me, the previous build works perfectly , i think is builf 90 or 91

    So how do you export your files at the moment?
    With current gMats without Live Mapper?
    Or are you just waiting for the next build?

    hello , im using the coreshaders.mas .dlu and .dlt files from the first version. (2.52g) because with them i can still use the .gmt importer 0.94 without problems, i adjust everything ,when everything is ready for the export to .gmt i save the max file,then install the latest ones (2.52j) and export.

    i dont have all the shaders, but i have all i need at this moment.


    i can make a pack for you guys if you want.

    make a backup first of your files inside hardwareshaders, plugins and scripts folders.

    what i do is to delete those folders and put the ones for 2.52g or 2.52j.

    if you have more plugings installed like Vray or any other scripts, i guess you have to add those files from your install to the pack i did.

    i hope this will not break the 3ds max instalation of somebody, please make a BACKUP FIRST and use it at your own risk.

    Any update on this? I know that Mianiak posted older plugins, but I was wondering if we could expect some updated versions soon? Will they be coming in the next build?

    Is it possible to go through the entire car tutorial using the 2.52i plugins?

    Probably the next build will have updates.

    There should be no problem with that.
