can you limit reduce top speed of car ?

    is there a way to limit or reduce the top speed of a car ?

    Yes, there is and one quick and easy Way to do that, is, to limit the max RpM in the Engine.ini (RevLimitRange).

    wont that slow the acceleration of car through gears as well ?
    i am only trying to limit the top speed of the car.

    It depends on how much you want to slow it down.
    Normally it should not affect the Acceleration or not much, because many Cars rev a few 100 RpM higher than the max Power and Torque is.
    You can also adapt the Ratio of the highest Gear only, but that could feel weird, depending on how much you limit it.
    Or remove the highest Gear....
    As said, it depends.

    well i have one car (a mini) that tops out at about 115mph and a (Alfa romeo gta) that tops ot at about 145mph i wont to slow down the alfa to about 120mph i think.

    BTW, you, of course, can also use the final Drive Ratio to modify it.

    You could try copy the engine.ini contents from the mini to the Alfa, then adjust the weight of the Alfa to fine tune the comparable performance. Depends what you’re trying to achieve. If you’re not worried about changing the characteristics of the Alfa then this could help BoP the two cars.

    -Increase base aerodynamic drag on HDV file

    and / or

    -Reduce engine power
