When going to Update page of Launcher Query and Verify are lit up. I click Query and it says "The current build is up to date" When I click Verify the button will gray out with Verifying... being displayed in it Results comes back as the following: "Getting verification data. Please wait for result. Invalid path submitted by this application or there is any error with the verification service." I know it said this in the Build 125 Release thread: Auto Updater: This build may not be going on the auto updater AT ALL. We have effectively released an 'unofficial' build, you will be able to update from this to the next official one. So, if this is why I can't verify, please forgive me for posting this. I'm just not sure if that is why or not.
I too get a gray'd out launch options although I come up connected but never get verified. When I go to the updates tab I can click verify but it gives the same error as above and I can't run anything. I simply full installed over my old rF2 install.
I am able to run the game, even in online play. Or at least I was able to last night. I was able to get into the event setup menu a few minutes ago after installing the All Tracks addon torrent package. I didn't try loading a track, but feel like it will work. My game has been verifyed before, of that I am nearly 100% sure. I think I did it when I first bought it at Build 107 around 3 months ago. Yesterday I noticed that my little icon on the forums was whited out and went to Verify again and that is when I got the message. I still think it may have something to do with this Build not being 'official'. Anyway, I'm not too worried, since I have my receipt of lifetime payment, lol.
FWIW I get the exact same when trying 'Query' and 'Verify' but my game appears to work with no problems which tends to suggest the bit I made bold when I quoted you.
Okay, thanks. I believe I have tied two things together that are really not connected. One being the mentioned issue with the Launcher Verification and the other being that my game or whatever isn't Validated, the little rF icon right under our Location here on the boards. I now see, from your reply, that the two are not connected. Yours shows as Validated, my doesn't. Yet we both get the same error in the Launcher. So that rules out my lack of Validation being connected to the Launcher not Verifying my files. How do I Validate my game? And what does it actually mean anyway, if anyone knows?
@Zeos I can get what you're getting if I remove my .rFactor folder, then I need to log in to get the welcome message and the green 'connected' icon lights up. So question is did you remove/delete your .rFactor folder from 'C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming'?
Didn't touch it. Just installed the base over the old one and the data to the data dir. Everything seems intact in roaming.

Which issue? If it is where you can't Verify in the Launcher, ignore it. If all is grayed out, you haven't activated your game yet. You have to do so before it will work. You can find instructions, if you aren't sure.
As Butch says, WHICH problem? Is it the one which isn't a problem, or the one which is answered in the FAQ thread? Either way, no problem...
Unable to launch I have the same issue with the launcher. The simulate options are greyed out and the purchase tab cannot find any system info appearrantly. View attachment 5204 View attachment 5205 This started after the 125 build.
I had that issue Jimmy and when I went to purchases I had to go to Activate.. you seem to have an issue that your purchase browser doesn't load. Once it does one button press fixes this.
