Turn off the trail of rubber from track without lowering other details or marbles outside ideal line

Actually this rubber track doesn´t exist and it is acting like an driving aid in f1 for me and some people. This could be turned off just leaving marbles on track.

So you want an on/off switch for real road? Sorry but that's a terrible idea.

I think he means graphics. On that point I can understand, you don't often see thát dark line on a rubbered in track as you do in rF2.

Having said that however, all depends on circuit, and surface especially. I haven seen a pitch black ideal line in real life, during a 24h karting event. Surface was concrete however, and that made it way more clear then I have ever seen on asphalt.

I think his concern is that it is like having a racing line aid permanently on...but to be honest the marks left by braking do exactly the same thing, so what is to do? turn off all tire marks completely? Not really an option I think.

even so it should'nt be turned off period, a reason to have Real Road is to experience real rubber build up and to see where it is on a given track. Its accelerated now as per the known issues text file so maybe showing up too much, but it should always be there and more visible on a section of tarmac than others (as in real life). Turning off the graphic element of Real Road even for beta is still not a good idea and does'nt make any sense to me.

I sure wouldn't use it, I agree with you on that, however, I can see that some people MIGHT think different ;)

yeah but its a major part of the game now, turning it off visually or totally means you may as well go back and play rf1 :p

I don't understand. Racing line is not a kind of help. Why do you think it is?
Also on video you gave there is racing line visible. So what's the point to disable it?

And what you see in video is marbles on track aside racing line.

I´m just wish the ability to turn this off (graphics, obviuosly) when using modern f1 mods and turn off marbles on old f1 mods.
    Whats wrong with that?

Don't you want to disable realistic physics? It's the same class question.
Racing line is "drawn" by tires even in real life. Depends on rubber mixture and other conditions like sun angle it may look darker or brighter than the rest of the tarmac. You can see it on video you attached. in rF2 you start with clean track and racing line is build in time progressively. So, for sure it is realistic
It's true that in rF2 BL is built too fast, but it is known issue - it waits for implementing relation between tire type/mixture and BL.

btw, in fact it is not BL. it's racing line drawn by cars. so it should'n be considered as aid

Totally agree. It is ok if some players want it to be turned off, but considering it as an aid is really weird..

Could it be a reflection/lighting difference? The video of Alonso shows what looks like a lighter racing line with darker marbled areas. If you play a replay of a well rubbered track and switch to an overhead view (PgUp and numpad) it looks similar.

Sorry to double post but compare these angles from a paused replay. I must admit that from some angles the rubbering does look a bit odd.
