I'm talking about using an old 'credentials' file backup from before the 'server downtime' problems began. Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like you're talking about a current file that's getting created when you log in? Using an old file and making it read only means I don't need to log in (just as well because I can't even if I needed/wanted to) each time I open the launcher.
I have the same problem, put in my old credentials but still everytime I leave the launcher it deletes my credentials, and I need to fill them in everytime I open the launcher. Edit: making the credentials read-only also worked for me, thanks for the solution! Tried with the old credentials right away.
I had the same problem with a previous build, it also dissapeared with me after 2 days of deleting the files, without me changing anything, in the same build. So it is not new since build 240. see this post I made back than with build 218. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...it-was-freshly-installed-when-not-supposed-to
Damn that's a game breaking bug ifrans, I hope they can get to the bottom of it... But the fact that it's still in it now after 2 build releases is pretty disheartening... MJP It's an old credential file that I backed up after losing all the other files... It doesn't create a new one, I can't log in, I can only use multiplayer if I manually put the credential file in there...
Yeah it's a nasty bug, wasn't too happy with it eather and I thought it was solved in the meantime, not to happy to hear that it could still happen
Okay I got up this morning and all seems well again. No more missing credentials and auto login working.
Can somebody explain me why isn't there any official response from ISI at this subject? Enviado desde mi GT-I9505 usando Tapatalk 2
Does not need to, my workaround. starts first click. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...in-Multiplayer?p=189306&viewfull=1#post189306
That's all well and good Durge but the point is that we should not have to be manipulating files just to get the game to work as planned.
DD. What a great idea. I looked at your screen grabs and noticed something that I have never seen before. A batchrun GUI. So I went hunting. I hope it is ok to post this information, because it will save some of us a lot of time. Go here to get the little program. http://www.outertech.com/ lol. I didn't notice until I wrote this post that you included the information in your link. Thanks DD.
Yeah mate my rF2 is the same click icon and go. Everything you want to start prior to rF2 or any other sim. Copy the BR shortcuts, put sim icon and name you cant tell the diff. So it is way handy for that but in this instance even more so. ============================= I make something clear sorry, doh! Probably more people know by now but you need to have saved a copy of Credentials PRIOR to this bug. If you make new credentials they do not work. ( I have had EAGLE in teamspk for a hour setting up batchrun LMAO ) We just realized why it would not work for him but works for me Only old credentials works. So batchrun is useless if you never saved a pre bug roaming folder....sorry File must be changed after load or write protected now ? ----------------------- I should do a thread , the only things in batchrun COPY command may trip you up is not selecting all files in the browse window so you can select credentials. Make sure in FILE NAME WINDOW to remove the rfactor and replace with * as in pic Read the help on copying
I am unable to get the file copying process to work... program running inside the GUI works fine... I don't know how to set up the bat file to run outside of the GUI... and last but not least I am unable to upload images taken of the GUI plus the run data on the batch run tests... weak sauce, I know.
