Post #1 rfmod is updated for more BMW 2024 skins Open Mod Manager uninstall BTCC 2019-2024.rfmod Make sure your BTCC workshop has updated, start rF2 let it install. download and install new rfmod, let it overwrite the old one. Manual install: Download updated BTCC skin pack and copy to your archive. unsubscribe skin pack Uninstall and delete old rfmod Uninstall BMW V5 update Delete or Move BMW V5 Browse to BTCC archive in mod manager Click update BMW will update to V6 Install updated rfmod *** If you leave BMW V5 in the same folder as BMW V6 it will only update to V5 and new rfmod will error. Happy BTCC Easter ================ Just a tip if you ever update your own mod make sure you don't leave rF2 open in background or changes in MAS2 will have no affect. Also is a bug with DLC were you can't update basic rfmods, they will error and ruin MAS2 temp files and the rfmod. Unless you have GME backups you screwed. If you want to recreate your own rfmod with DLC start with fresh rfmod. You can leave old rfmod not installed but open in mod manager so you can easy see all content you need to pick. Put mod manager and MAS2 windows beside each other. When you click package and install it will replace the old rfmod automatically. Refresh mod manager all should be good. Just remember don't leave rF2 open. Another tip: Use OSD keyboard to click on ctrl just don't forget to unclick it after selecting all content. This will save stuff ups when clicking lots of content because if you let go off ctrl before packaging you have to start again.
Thanks. This is simplest sim mod anyone can make. Everyone uses rF2 can make these in minutes. Which is why I post them. I would like to see others offline rfmods combos. Give people rfmod and all links to content. One I would post is Formula E It has the 3 Gens of cars and tracks with and without attack mode to suit. Add all DLC + 3rd party venues to fill some other years. Hint: open rF2 in a window and jot down the numbers of the "show cars" Formula E and some other cars have "show cars" don't belong in the race Remove those from your rfmod before package. You can leave rF2 open but close it before you pack the rfmod. The real secret of rfmods is how to update them. I came up with the only possible solution other then redoing them from scratch every content update. You can pack more then one rfmod in pkginfo.dat but if you add too much it will CTD. Like I said earlier you can't edit DLC in rfmod, will error when you package. So BTCC rfmods or any other rfmod you can edit 3rd party content only. Still worth keeping all fresh mastemp files.
BTCC 2022 FIX ============ 2022 Ford: Ollie Jackson and Sam Osborne had Valvoline as sponsors at last round for Brands Hatch. If you run 2022 select 32AI which is 2 extra so you can remove 2 Ford skins. In practice take note of the 2 Ford drivers you must remove. Click on SESSION CONTROLS Click on their names one at a time and click BOOT That will leave you 30AI and the correct Ford skins for the round. Brands Hatch GP you boot the 2 red/black Ford. Others rounds you boot the 2 Valvoline Ford. There is a issue. Because you have to start by adding 2 extra cars you get 2 random driver names These will change on the Fords session to session. So sometimes you won't get the right drivers Example below at Snetterton the 2 Valvoline skins have the 2 random drivers which is good. Straight after I booted Knockhill and Ollie was in Red Ford and Sam in Valvoline. So sometimes you end up having to boot real driver. Pretty sure it is random.
