I'm using the csr elite pedals and i have them cranked up to 10. in iracing i have NO problem locking up the tires, in rfactor 2 i can't seem to get them to lock up at all. i have abs off as well as all the aids. Does anybody have an idea's for settings to improve the braking?
Not sure, I have the perfect pedal in my G25 pedal set and can regulate the brakes to lock up fine. I have only assigned the controller at this stage and using all the default rates.
Are you sure the brake pedal is calibrated right? I can lock the brakes effortlessly even at fairly low speeds.
I would say check sensitivity and dead zone etc in the games wheel menu and experiment. I know you said all aids are turned off but even low stability control will cause abs to activate even when it's turned off.
I was expecting this thread to contain a rant about brakes locking too easily, not the opposite! I'm using a G25, my brake pedal is very sensitive and you need to be soft on it or the brakes will surely lock up. As others have suggested, try checking your dead zones and calibration, also double check that ABS is off.
how do you calibrate the pedals and set the dead zone in the game? Terence: When i stomp on the brake it goes all the way up to 10, is that what you mean by 100%? Here's my setting...any suggestions? In this pick i'm stepping on the brake. View attachment 562 View attachment 563
Doubt it would make a difference in this case. He says he can't lock up the brakes at all. With the sensitivity at 200% they would, or should, lock up almost immediately. I run a modded set of G27 pedals and have my brake sensitivity set fairly low. This makes it easier for me to modulate the brake with the NIXIM mod(a non-linear in game setting to match the non-linear feel of the NIXIM mod).
