Bose speakers with PC?

    I'm reposting, hopefully in the correct forum! :)

    My older brother has a roomful of Speakers and amps he no longer uses. I'm interested only in the tiny speakers and powered subwoofer that accompanied this type of CD/Radio player:

    All together he has 4 pairs of these speakers that work with a powered subwoofer. I was not able to get the base unit working, it would power up but then just sit there, no radio, no spinning CD... Could this set of speakers be used with a PC?

    Bose Lifestyle 5?
    It's got a pair of connectors on the back marked AUX.
    You could try a 3.5mm stereo plug with RCA (phono) plugs at the other end and see if it plays sounds through it.

    Otherwise use a small standalone amplifier
