Further to my report here: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/26544-B1008-Minor-Bug-(Grid-Position) Eddy pointed me to testing the plug-ins and it appears that when you have KnockoutQualifying ON it affects the Grid Position setting when just selecting Race Only (Prac & Qual both unselected). No matter what you select (position 2 and upwards or Random) it always puts you on Pole when you have this plug-in enabled. Tested on fresh install with the GTR @ Bathurst and the 370z @ Silverstone-GT.
