    Yes...ridicule... ;) Just kidding... Actually, as of right now the clutch is only needed for starting/stopping (without stalling).

    Yes. You will be taken to the "pain room" where you have to fill out captcha boxes for hours! :p

    Some of us don't have clutch pedals. Don't be racist, y'all.

    It is an interesting point b/c I hate sequential and also auto clutch shifting but I have to to be competitive with the Clio, for example, so is it possible to require manual clutch in online race for those of us that want to drive like we do our real cars?

    no it isnt really possible, as, even if you use h-shift and manual clutch, you really need the clutch at starting, or when you spin. You can do the rest of your shifting clutcless.

    depends on the mod, a weight penalty can be imposed for using aids.
    looks like AutoLift/AutoBlip become active with auto clutch.

    BT20.HDV
    [AIDPENALTIES]
    TC=( 0.0,0.005,0.008) // Weight penalties for using different levels of aids.
    ABS=(0.0,0.005,0.008) // First value is typically with the aid off so it should
    Stability=(0.0,0.005,0.008) // be 0.0. Penalties should only be applied to aids that
    Autoshift=(0.0,0.001,0.001,0.002) // the vehicle would not be allowed to run with. Penalties
    Steering=(0.0,0.005,0.008,0.008) // should typically only be used if the aid improves
    Braking=(0.0,0.004,0.004) // laptimes for a decent driver. Values are fractions of
    Invulnerable=(0.0,0.00) // the total vehicle mass, and are modeled as extra weight
    Opposite=(0.0,0.00) // in the fuel tank. Do not use negative values.
    SpinRecovery=(0.0,0.00)
    AutoPit=(0.0,0.00)
    AutoLift=(0.0,0.001)
    AutoBlip=(0.0,0.005)

    I think auto-blip is defensible because you can't really do that properly without a clutch pedal, but auto-lift is a bit excessive. You should still have to at least time the shifts yourself, if you ask me.

    lift and blip is a required action, which takes additional time when not using the auto clutch aid.
    when using auto clutch, auto lift and auto blip happen automatically and is faster than without the aid.
    hence the penalty for using the auto clutch aid.

    No, they are separate settings, as you pointed out. You can use either auto-blip or auto-lift independently, or both.

    I guess that's good news but I wonder if anyone would set it up that way or if most want to drive the car how it is configured which is sequential. Maybe I'll have to wait for a mod to come out of a car with H-shifter? But even then won't those using auto clutch have an advantage? Or maybe those with server will restrict auto clutch use?
