I don't want to hijack this thread, but the cockpits in mods are really important to immersion. So, I really appreciate when people go that extra mile to get the particulars correct. The proof to me is when you use the dashboard's dials rather than any HUD info to read your revs and temps etc. When they are done right, man, they are a great place to be. . That Falcon cockpit is amazing. I like the R/T's dash - and I'll be seeing a lot of it when racing starts in these - but the 770 Charger with the alloy finish is my IRL favorite.

It looks as this is heading in a great direction. Just one little thing I have to add, to give those beauties a little better racing touch: might it be possible to use the updated historic driver model that is used for the BT20? For example as seen in the planned 1967 F2 mod:

    https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/1967-formula-2-mod.54810/

Other than that it looks freaking great :)

The HQ sounds have had an update 3 days ago.
I think the E49 is good maybe some small tweaks to the ford outside sounds.
Our focus atm is the next 3 cars.

Top stuff. The sounds are dead on: the Charger is just about perfect (that wail!) and the two V8s sound good and bassy. I did a few races with the new Monaro Group C and it is fantastic. One thing though: all the cars have 50/50 brake bias as stock, and adjusting it full forward only gets to 65/35. As these were largely lightly tuned road cars, shouldn't it be in the 70s % wise for front bias? Also, the snaking under braking is evil - end of the straight @ Symmonds for instance. Again, 1970s suspension & brakes, I know, but they are really twitchy under heavy braking. I set up the shocks and dampers and roll bars to stiffen them and that works somewhat, but the bias on the brakes seems to need to be at F1 type levels to steady them.

    Hi Niburu.

First off, thanks a lot for your efforts to make these truely awesome cars available in rF2 !

I have a question though and please forgive me, if it comes across a little blasphemous ... ;)
How much effort would it take to "mirror" the cars and make them "left side steerers" ?

I really dig these kind of classic old school big engine cars, but I cannot get my head around, sitting on the right side.
So is there a chance to make something like a "flipped" or "mirrored" edition for those who were "born and raised" on the right side of the road ?

Cheers and keep up the good work !
    Max

    Hi Max,

I doubt that can be achieved without a fair bit of work. It's not quite as easy as 'mirroring' the car, unfortunately.

Good news is that there will be another car to test drive very shortly. Stay tuned. :)
