Wim this is happening to me as well and im not sure what is causing it. it happened during the race last weekend. I noticed when turning vsync off it helped and i haven't had this problem since the race on sunday but it is to soon to tell at this point....
Could be the pc writting to disk. Maybe is having lags in writting the replay. Just an idea. In case there is a ping lag, try setting a key to show your lag in the setting options to check it.
Thanks guys, I will try that too! Hopefully it helps. I wanted to try this all out, but encountered another problem updating the Vmod to 1,01....... in order to do that; I had to use a newer version of the Topeka, botniaring and Fuji track, first uninstalling the old versions. When I try to uninstall those; I can't; they are in use by one (the other two) other mods and can't be removed. I have to look into "properties/advanced" to see what mods use them and when I do that; there's nothing there(!)..... Wow......it's never straights forward isn't it?
Man......I'm REALLY getting frustrated by this, BIG TIME!! I uninstalled some mods to het the old tracks out, that worked, now I lost the Clio mod......that one IS in the packages folder but I don't see it anymore. As I understand, that one is necessary in order to get the new mod working right as explained to me before in this topic. Why, ow why, does this stuff needs to be THAT complicated and utterly difficult?? I'm afraid I have to do it all over again; installing the game and mods..........don't feel like that anymore now and I'm really on the verge of saying "F.... this game now". This is really no fun anymore; change one thing and you have work for weeks........crap!
You don't *need* to uninstall any of those things you mentioned. Want update Mauros 60's VMOD to v1.01, you can (though he's going to need to update it again for Croft lol) Want to install v1.01 of Fuji/Topeka without uninstalling the v1.0's, you can. Same with Botniaring.
For me it worked, after uninstalling the F3fanatics mod as well. I also downloaded and installed Botnia 0.5 first, which had to be version 0.6. Don't give up, Wim, you'll figure it out
@ MJP; Yes, well....I didn't know that and on the threats about it, is was said you DID have to uninstall...... Didn't want any problems, so I did as was said. Next thing is I uninstall the whole game, damn, I'm pissed right now!
I understand, it can get messy very quickly and is a real pain if all you want to do is go racing. It doesn't help that you can have different sorts of 'updates'. Take the ISI 1960s World Class Racing mod, that's currently on v1.1 but you *have* to have v1.0 installed beforehand. Whereas Mauros 60's vmods, Fuji/Topeka and Botniaring are 'standalone' updates, i.e. you don't need the older versions installed in order to install the newer versions. You can have all the versions installed at the same time if you so wish, though that's not really desirable for practical purposes more than anything, like trying to identify which version's which lol.
yeap the download link for Botniaring 0.6 is 0.5 mod wont install. 0.5 looks terrible. This system sucks forced to download crappy tracks I ll never want to drive. Call me Victor Meldrew!!!
To be honest no different to what I would if I had or used should I say a wheel. I have my own personal preference on how I like a car to handle on the limit but that's it.
