Ive tried FaceTrackNoIR with a PS3 Eye camera (which is said to work very good). Unfortunatly my results are: interessting but not useable, because theres too much lag and not stable for rf2. (I dont want to end up looking at the sky while in a race because it couldnt track my face again). I even used a second computer for facetracnoir only, because it needs some additional prozessor power. But when i tried i wasnt shaved and had 3D-glasses, maybe thats to hard to detect I will try TrackIR 5 next and hope this works.
vittorio You should have no problems with TrackIR 5,already tried and tested. And ready to go. It's always going to be difficult to get the homemade one's working for some people.
Cool forgot about that set to .99 now i can see behind. BTW looks like the ISI main server went down , so the ARI server may need rebooting its back up now!!!!!!!!!!
theres this too http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/6325-RF2-and-Track-IR?highlight=track+ir but people stopped following it. Perhaps u continew it? I would particularly like to now if freeware stuff is worth trying, or we have to go to paywere and which?
Nikos,if you have the patience and time then by all means try the homemade (some people have had good results). If not then go for TrackIR it's very easy to setup,i mean i can do it.
I hope so, at least not done on purpose. But even if not done on purpose, if it happens some people could suspect. Replay can be inspected after the race if someone complains. That's in the league rules. I've never used it. I think I'd end up with pain in my neck of being motionless. Actually, would to try it before bying it... but personally, no time to spend money on it.

EDIT:Anyway thats the last i have to say on the subject, sorry for going of topic.
The only problem I see, and the reason why I've never tried it yet is: In a real car you move your head while looking right but with TrackIR and single screen setup you move your head right while still looking front to see your display. When I try it without TrackIR it feels strange, maybe it's because I wear glasses and see the edge of them while moving head and still looking front.
Hi guys, no change to Sundays Race schedule. Very small response to the question and way more fun the football anyway Looking forward to the race and hoping for a good turn out. *Please note I see a lot have changed to the EVE for this race, for the Sim Racing 4 Life league System to detect you on race day please make sure you edit your settings to the correct car. Go to the league site http://www.league.sr4l.com/index.php Go to Driver/Edit Data/Season to edit your car of choice. Sorry if I sound like a broken record with this one but it's an all new system and not straight forward for everyone. Cheers, Fergy
Yes nikos. While ARI is still in development and this is after all a fun series it is possible. I'm sticking with the spark as per my contract
