Animated wheel texture

    hey guys i've been putting together a mod and the wheel texture looks like its moving when the car is standing still

    I'm just wondering what the animation is meant to be set to ,
    I have three textures that it animates the sequence is (0,1,2) 3 frames and set to cycle all named wheel wheel00 wheel01 wheel02

    my next question is does the spec map have to be animated also?

    also can i put a cube map on this too?

    any help would be good thx

    ps , all in max2010



    Edit: may have answered myself should it be set to manual?

    Yep. Manual is the way to do it.

    Set to manual, is not necesary to animate specular and bump maps but it can be done, some people do, some not.

    And yes you can put any shader to tires but i think, not sure, you lost the "feel" at tires if you not use the deformable shader, also you lost the deformable shape, wich is wrong, tires properities must be independent from shaders IHMO.
