Even in windowed mode and not windowed, using alt-tab to switch to another prg causes the crash of rFactor2

 

Yes it will do this occasionally. It should do it less in window mode, but still can crash at any time, being beta software.

 

same here CTD when Alt-Tab using full screen mode.

 

There is a workaround for this. If you have Alt-Tabbed and the game doesn't come up anymore, open Task Manager and find rFactor 2 in the Applications menu, make a right-click on it and choose "Switch to".

 

i have permanently runtime errors with rF2, but here no probs with Alt+Tab.

No, when it crashes it crashes - error message, process ends.

rF1 varied from person to person anyway, rF2 is just a bit more random at the moment lol

 

RF2 minimizes and restores just fine for me no matter how many times I do it or what I tab out to. Perhaps it's best those who do and don't post their OS/GPU/driver combinations?

When you go to return, mouse over rf2 in task bar and WAIT until you see the litte popup discription before you click it.

For me it doesn't crash when alt+tabbing, it just doesn't come up anymore, but with "Switch to" it comes perfectly. Thought it didn't crash for others too.

 

same here... also, most of the times, when i enter the game,
it minimizes itself and i have to click it on the task bar to
make it full screen again.

i'm running full screen (not windowed).

 

Alt-Tab make the game crash for me too but using Alt-Esc works perfectly.

Mine crashes on occasion but getting back into the game can be just as annoying.

I hear the game running and it takes the focus but the screen never show it just leaves it displaying the desktop.
