AI Fuel Multiplier

Question gents/ladies.

The AI fuel multiplier (adjusts fuel for how the AI drive). Default is .99.
My question is which way do I move it to increase fuel range? IE is it about the fuel load? (in which case I make it greater than .99 to increase range) or is it about consumption (in which case I make it lower).
I am practicing at the Nordschliefe and in 2 hour race the AI pit twice and me once. I want to start with a 10% increase in fuel range for AI.

It´s the consumption (in percent).
10% increase of range = 0.89
