    Another issue I've been testing lately and searching forums but no luck was about the AI Tyres.

    We're using a mod that AI is starting with HARD TYRES. Is there a possibility to change the AI tyres to supersoft or other compound??

    As far as I know the AI decide the tyres themselves, which shows how smart the AI are, however restricts a bit of fun if you wanted to choose which tyres the AI raced on.

    But on which criteria they decide on?

    This seems to be one of the largest secrets of rF2...One say it`s the order in the tbc file, e.g. the first or the last, others says it`s the last not wet tyre in the tbc file and so on. Maybe it`s random? :D

    Isn'it the compound stated in the HDV ?

    TireBrand=SCES_P1_TIRES // must appear before tire compound setting (references *.tbc file)
    FrontTireCompoundSetting=0 // compound index within brand
    RearTireCompoundSetting=0 // compound index within brand

    Try changing it in the HDV, AI uses default setup if I am not wrong.

    Cheers.

    this works for the player car only

    //Edit: just an example from the latest Megane WT,

    FrontTireCompoundSetting=0
    RearTireCompoundSetting=0

    where 0 = the soft tire.

    Guess what the AI are using...yep, the hard, would be 1, but they don`t care about the numbers...

    Yeah indeed. And the AI is not that smart by the way. In dry conditions with more than one dry tire compound allowed, they always choose for the hardest compound :confused:. Even in qualifying...
