Greetings racers ! The 2023 HSO season will be focused on the wonderful 1954 Endurance mod by woocho and mantasisg, which we will use to travel back to the great sportscar classics of the mid-1950s. As ever with HSO all races are based on real historical ones, with classic tracks such as Spa, Monza, Rouen, Le Mans, Goodwood, Dundrod or the Targa Florio (to name a few) all on the schedule. The season will be divided into four quarterly championships of 6 races each, one each for the years 1953, 1954, 1955 and 1956, with races held on Sunday nights (Central European Time). To reflect the diversity of events these glorious sportscars used to compete in, different formats will be used for the races : from 2-hour long Grand Prix style road races to multiple sprints on British autodromes, with a few simulated endurance events (accelerated time with day/night racing) aslo featured. A slightly revised version of the mod is used, with modified specs and physics as well as a full set of custom skins based on the teams having used the cars in real life. A total of 80 cars over 63 entries are available (among which the novel Lancia D24 !), spread over four displacement classes : 1,500cc / 2,000cc / 3,000cc and +3000cc. Each of the four quarterly series will have its own championships, with points available for both the overall and class standings of each race and five drivers’ titles to fight for. You can find more details about it all on the 2023 Gold Star section of the HSO forum, including the full rules and regulations, season schedule and spotter’s guide. You can book a car by posting in the dedicated thread, provided of course you have a valid HSO forum account (registration obviously free).
Maybe When league will be finished, you could release hso additional mod update on workshop for all It could be interesting for all RF2 players And it could be an excellent advertisement for your portal
Ah yes gotcha. Well that is the plan All development on the mod has been carried in collaboration with woochoo, and it's up to him to decide when he will integrate the changes into a workshop version of the mod. We're currently about halfway towards our development objectives, and should have completed all of it by the end of the year. Currently we have the Lancia D24/D25 and the OSCA 2000S as new models in the mod, and the Ferrari 750 Monza and 500 Mondial are well under way too. There also have been tons of other changes, from historical skins to physics, via various visual updates, ...etc. All of it is freely available on our forum too, you just need an account to be able to download stuff, not like we're restrictiing it to just the people pariticpating in the races either
