very happy to see that ! the livery seems to be the mexico gp/end season, earlier in 86 the car got more yellow part on the side, but nearly black is beautiful
yes, Minardi used the M185 "B" for almost the whole season, except De Cesaris who started to drive the M186 only at the hungarian GP here you can see De Cesaris for the Brands Hatch GP : I know because I've created several historic liveries for the rfactor 1 version, and minardi got a lot of liveries with slight differences and sponsors in 86-87, mainly on rear and front wings. But your version is perfect ! here the M186/ Monza version :
yes you're right. I thought that the M186 was used earlier in the season. So Nannini never used this model
Indeed, you all are totally right. I didn't know that, but... as some of you said, the Minardi M185B was used in the entire 1986 season by Nannini, and De Cesaris ran with it from the 1st race at Brazil, to the 10th, Germany. From 11st (Hungary) to the end (16th, Australia), De Cesaris used the M186. The one and only race that Minardi finished, was Mexico, with De Cesaris finishing 8th with his M186 , and Nannini finishing 14th with the M185B. Tough season for that black & yellow beauty, as they were the 2 first cars of this modest, but awesome team.
A profane question about physics, but are these cars all on the same level or have different powers between them?
Sorry, I didn't know that before. In a way it's even better because we'll have the both version with De Cesaris/M186/black side and Nannini/185B/yellow .Note that Nannini kept the yellow side pod all the season, so it's perfectly in the mood. The reason could be to create a difference between the two cars, as was the practice during these years. Great !
hey Endor this was not a reproach, I did not know that myself, and it was really hard to find out what car they used in 86 Season, and I thought the m186 was used in 1986
Hey guys, for all you modders out there, here’s a handy site I use to find out which cars were used in which seasons/races: https://www.statsf1.com/ For example, if you click on Seasons —> 1986, you can then see all driver stats and so on. For chassis, click on All the F1 Models, then click on the actual chassis. It will then show you when and where that chassis was used. In the case of the m186: https://www.statsf1.com/en/minardi-m186.aspx Versus the m185b: https://www.statsf1.com/en/minardi-m185b.aspx The guy who runs this site deserves major applause
Love the mod and, as always, the great work from Chief Wiggum. I hope everyone here is donating. I am wondering about one thing though, it seems I hit some kind of flat spot in the revs as I'm approaching 180 mph. Doesn't seem to matter what gear I'm in or what the rev count is, the revs seem to level out for a while and then pick up again. Is this something I'm missing in the setup?
@Dae, I'm not really sure what you mean, maybe it will be the Turbo Lag? Guys, I'm really happy with the first rollout in the minardi, only to check how the car shape looks in game.....
"@Dae, I'm not really sure what you mean, maybe it will be the Turbo Lag?" Seems more like a pop-off valve opening at high speed, I'll try to capture a video of it and send it to you. The Minardi looks awesome!
