Hi all, we had a blast of 2 events at LimeRock with these great cars, but they look really bad with dx11, can someone explain how to fix these skins to work with dx11 ? Any help would be nice, thx all.
I haven't look specifically for these cars, but check then in instructions here. https://www.studio-397.com/guidelines-for-artists/
tried the instructions but i think its something deeper in the mod (shaders?) make them not shine at all, did test more level, alpha less or more and the artist hints, no chance so far.....
A new build is coming and, due to the fact the mod is very "aged", I'm improving not only the graphics to the DX11, but also the whole physics, from tires to engine, to steering wheel, to the full flex chassis, to the AIs, adding also the whole pack of BBSE liveries and talents. All that trying to be closed to the behavior of the build 1.1 (and this is the most complex stuff!).
Okay guys, I revised the whole mod and fixed a lot of little things here and there. The car behaves very very closed to the car of build 1.1 and I used the same values and "original" settings for the tires, so you will still have the very performing QUALI compound that wears in a while and the RACE compound. The steering wheel is now in the full standards of rF2 as well as the flex chassis and it gives a little difference in driving the car. Engine is also in full rF2 standards and AIs are just a little bit faster than before (but you can tune them depending of your wishes as usual in rF2). I'm updating the first post adding the new links for the manual download and the Steam version will follow. Thank you and enjoy this evergreen mod!
One of the other best evergreen mods, since long time ago with rFactor and then rFactor2, needed to be updated to several new features like "scratchable vs. detachable", "full rain effect on body and windows" and a lot of other "little" things on physics side... Working on that with Chris, I thought to a new "fantasy" class inspired to the new WTCR Class IRL... fantasy because of the BMW no longer participates and in any case the E90 is now almost an "historic" car, LOL, but it is so nice and "original" to be driven that I'm trying to share this feeling with the people that love this kind of racing TC. Chris Payne (aka @Brack Jabham ) painted 10 beautiful liveries (now 4K) for the incoming VTCR 2019 class and suggested to have a BOP to the BTCC mod. I'm looking at this option and, in case, to other nice mods to give the chance to race fighting together... Any suggestion is welcome! And for this class I'm also thinking to replace the tires with a totally new set... in other words we'll have another "mod" more than a new class, into the same mod. In this specific case I hope that a right quantity of fantasy can be appreciated.
