Hi all. I am suffering this issue when playing dx11. The game simply goes sometimes in slowmotion, framerate keeps going high but game simply dont run at the normal speed. See in the video: 00:32 first time coming up Eau Rouge Some idea?
Oh yeah. That is a lag. RF2 uses the CPU totally excessively. Moreover, RF2 handles PCIe X16 2.0 extremely poorly Three solutions: - Change of CPU for a more powerful. - Optimise windows to the maximum + overclocking and uses "process lasso" and "parkcontrol" (bitsum) software. - Hope S397 can quickly optimize RF2
oh yeah.. that is not lag.. track is poorly optimized, reduce shadows,anisotropic,AA.. that part of track is demanding on high/full settings
Yeah, this is problem of a poorly converted Codemasters track, 95% sure. There is excessive bumping going on in Eau Rouge which might upset the physics engine. A better CPU might help, but the track is probably the real issue here.
I have this same problem on the 397's Zanvoort, so I dont think is a conversion problem. Maybe you are right and cpu cant handle this. AMD A10 6800k you can see my pc build in the video description.
Ctrl + c to view cpu usage bar and confirm the information. The purple bar should not be higher than 75% Closing background applications must help, like antivĂrus The version you're using was converted for assetto Corsa.
I have the same problem in replay mode only. Never had this before. Core parking doesn't fix it. When I push ctrl+c the purple bar is 100% and there are purple spikes. cpu load is about 12% and frame rate is about 52-67. Some days ago I did a fresh rf2 install. I didn't have this issue before.
It should be able to handle Zandvoort, single core performance is a bit better than on the popular FX 6300. Some AMD CPU's tend to throttle (downclock) themselves even when they get a little bit too hot, which will then cause issues like running out of realtime in rF2. So I would probably try to monitor CPU clock rate and make sure no background programs are using CPU cycles.
I think this is part of the problem. With rF2 and R3E I was having terrible performance when I realize I was using X4 2.0 . Switch to X16 2.0 solved it, but still I think more performance can be gained. My CPU/MOBO only supports X16 2.0. Interesting only both sims seems to be affected by it. On AC I did not saw any diference, so it may be related to how the GPU is used.
I've experienced this too with Jerez + Nissan Primera combo (while driving), Radical SR3 + Atlanta (in replay mode) and I think with Fisi + Zandvoort also.
Drop your graphics settings a bunch. Opponent detail seems to be a big one in my experience. I had the same issue (good FPS, but physics would drop out of real-time).
This issue is clearly a track issue, as this AC conversion is extremely heavy when it comes to the shadows and their optimization. Same goes for Zandvoort btw
