Hi Track IR support in rf2 is not very smooth compared to its competitors. I've got really high, smooth fps without track ir, but there are definitely frames dropped when in use to the extent its too distracting to play. I've tried everything I can think including lowering detail, vsync options, AA, etc, but it doesn't look like a GPU/CPU bottleneck as its silky smooth without it. I'm running a gtx 970 and 4770k for reference. I've seen a couple of posts elsewhere reporting similar experiences but no solutions. Has anyone got any solutions I can try? I'm that used to it that it's a deal breaker for me not to have support. It's also really smooth in AA, pcars and GSCE. Thanks in advance David
Your thread title makes it sound like the TrackIR movement itself (ie the head tracking) is choppy, rather than the game itself having framerate issues. Have you checked the Ctrl-C graphs while using it?
Hi Lazza. It's definitely choppy rendering rather than the TrackIR itself. Its very smooth in other titles by comparison. I'll take a look at the graphs and let you know.
Hello, did you solve your problem? Because I have exactly the same issue with my TrackIR: Lot of stutters when I pan right or left.
I'm using the Trackhat head tracker and after playing with the open track software I've got it working quite well. It's using TrackIR emulation and I assume the same plugin. Take a look at the clip I uploaded in this thread : https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/trackhat-head-tracker-dx11.55507/ I'm sure if TrackHat works, the TrackIR must as well.
Even with head movement disabled it is still choppy. So I am re -installing completely the game, maybe it will solve my problem.
no way, even after reinstalling the software the problem is still here. here is a video about this issue:
with the latest beta (8 may) there are less stutters but it is not perfect. Could it be a plugin problem??
