I am wondering if it would be possible to change the way the files are handled. Each time we change, I have to download again, between 1 and 3 GB at a time. Why is it not possible to have the game keep the files in a separate folder and then if we switch it just moves those files on the hard drive rather than down load each time?
Steam backup? Haven't tried it myself, should work though. Two installs would have been a much better way to do this.
Mike, follow the guide in this thread => https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/rf2-multiple-installs-on-steam-tutorial.54092/ Once you've done that don't run rF2 straight away...instead go to the rf2-dx9\Core folder and edit the data path file to point specifically where your rf2-dx9 version is. If you don't do this first, when you start the dx11 version in steam it will download all the dx9 core content (well that's what it did in my case).
