Had a race yesterday with the Skippy in Silverstone. Curiously i've got a lot of wrong blue flag spotter warnings. Sometimes it seemed to me that the blue flag warning came also, while a car was in front of me. Does someone has a solution for this? PS: Just to add ..... nice spotter pack, sjbaraki.
Thanks Ernie Yeah, I get those false Blue Flag warnings as well. I'm sure there is something that we can alter in the .ini files to make them less frequent at least. I'll let you know If i find anything.
hiya does this plugin spotter say " on your left " " on your right " when another car is at your side ??
Didn't notice if there is voice telling your sector gaps and your speed compared to car infront and behind? Atm I have soundfiles that have these things and I would't want to loose them by updating to these new sounds (which sounds good)
Around 5:22 you can hear the spotter say "the driver in front of you is slower than you by 2 seconds" Every single original sound file has been re-recorded. So nothing should be missing.
Very nice plugin Gerald thank you very much. I have a question. I use this plugin mostly for information when cars are beside me on the blind spot. But the information, like you see on sjbaraki's video above, are coming VERY delayed. I don't want to see the car passing me and allready see him in front of me and after a while to hear "car right". Like in the video at 3:52. After he looses his braking point at T1 the information that "car right" comes AFTER the car was allready in front of sjbaraki. And the information "all clear" comes even much later then that. Is there a delay on these information from the game? I have used that kind of information on iracing spotter and it was on time. If they are not on time, these information about the car beside you, are useless. Thanks again for the plugin and for your time for the community
I have just installed the new spottter sound pack - Very nice, but it is little hard to here over the enigne. Is there a way to adjust the spotter sound volume?
Just read the readme text ! rF2 Spotter Plugin v1.7 - Volume is now supported - wav and mp3 are supported Documentation: http://rf2-spotter-plugin.wikia.com/wiki/RF2_Spotter_Plugin_Wiki Installation: - Copy fmodex64.dll into <rF2Core>/Bin64 (not under Bin64/Plugins) - Copy fmodex.dll into <rF2Core>/Bin32 (not under Bin32/Plugins) - Copy SpotterPlugin_x64.dll into <rF2Core>/Bin64/Plugins - Copy SpotterPlugin.dll into <rF2Core>/Bin32/Plugins - Copy the Spotter directory itself in the <rF2Data>/UserData/player, so for example, the Spotter.ini file will be <rF2Data>/UserData/player/Spotter/Spotter.ini French Spotter: Open you Spotter.ini file "Sounds.subPath=Sounds/EN" to "Sounds.subPath=Sounds/FR" IMPORTANT: - Disable the rF2 default Spotter, put the spotter off in the "Settings" menu of the game - You can set the Maximum Spotter Volume using the rF2 Spotter Audio setting (in game interface, before loading the track)
Could you be more specific about where to place "file=[Drivername]" For example: If I wanted the plugin to say by driver name who just set the fast lap of the race, which event would I use and where in that section would I plave the "file=[Drivername]"? Please indicate below WHERE this would go? // Tells player he just beat the best lap Event=BestLap { // Event properties (note that these are not applied if this event is played by another event) Detail=1 Spacing=0.0 Priority=0.6 Probability=1.0 TTL=10.0 Break=0.25 // Repeat until duration ends Repeat=Off Duration=0.0 // Play introduction to laptime Volume=1.0 Variable=Session { Value=0,8 { Variable=Random { Value=(>=0;<0.2) { File=rc_best_lap.wav } Value=(>=0.2;<0.4) { File=rc_best_lap_1.wav } Value=(>=0.4;<0.6) { File=rc_best_lap_2.wav } Value=(>=0.6;<0.8) { File=rc_best_lap_3.wav } Value=(>=0.8;<=1.0) { File=rc_best_lap_4.wav } } } }
Create a sound for exemple "named_best_lap.wav" (or even 5 sound to add variation like in the exemple) who say "have set the fastest lap" or this to avoid to copy/paste File=[DriverName] everywhere
Hmmm, I must be doing something wrong. I copied the exact code you provided above into the default event.ini, recorded the WAV files and named them exactly as you said and placed them into the sounds/EN_Engineer and it does not seem to work for me? I think Id be better off just requesting features Id like to see added to your great plugin and cross my fingers that you add them This is a great work you have going so far. I absolutely loved the spotter plugin we had for rF1 and am very excited to see you doing this for rF2!
