Thanks for the help, the issue was the pci express, i had the 2.0 8x, now i reactivated the 2.0 16x.
    From 2.0 8x to 2.0 16x i gain about 50%-80%....

I guess this still happens with RF2. Interesting...

Yeah and the difference seems to have increased. It was 12% back when this thread first started but I tested today and the difference now seems to be 20%. But I didn't perform the bench test of this thread when observing a 20% difference between 2.0 x16 and 3.0 x16.

    Results with latest build 998:

    CPU: i5-4690K @ 4.4GHz
    rFactor 2 Build: 998
    Graphics driver version: 355.82

    1080p:

    2.0 x8 to 2.0x16/3.0x8 = 46% increase

    2.0 x16/3.0 x8 to 3.0 x16 = 22% increase

    1440p:

    2.0 x8 to 2.0x16/3.0x8 = 37% increase

    2.0 x16/3.0 x8 to 3.0 x16 = 16% increase

In the previous post i said it was a 12% increase when i tested last year but i may have confused that with my GTX 770 results. Anyway, skimmed through and found someone with a 970 from last year who reported an 18% increase. So perhaps performance differences between different pci-e modes has changed with new rf2 builds.
