A rFactor2 conversion of Zolee145's rFactor Gold Coast 600 2012 track. A big thanks goes out to Zolee145 for the permission to convert his track to rfactor2. It was needed for simlimitedracing.com 2013 RF2 V8Supercar season. Hopefully in the near future updates to the track can be done but until then enjoy. http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=6124
That video is terrible. It doesn't show the car or the suspension working, nor does it show the track in a very good light. It looks better than that video. If you show the car working, it will show off how the track drives as you see it working over those huge curbs. The AI at first would crash at the chicanes and also take the wrong lines at the first chicane (going left-right-left instead of the way it was supposed to) but I took a little time to train them (I have to use Autocalibrate=1 because with the BES mod, the game won't write .wis files on non-ISI tracks) and they go better. Not perfect but better. That said, I would race humans here in a NYC minute! I love it! A high speed city track is a special challenge. I could see that being a really fun race.
Hi Mick!..... there is a RF2 league based in England running the V8s on Aussie tracks... http://www.racing-leagues.com Numbers are increasing but the time difference is hard for us Aussie / NZ based drivers
Sorry for the old thread bump, but I was interested if this track was still in development. With the release of the DW12, I've been looking for good street circuits to drive it around. With the exception of the AIW and apparent lack of realroad(?), this one actually seems to be the best at the moment. It looks nice, the track surface geometry is good and the performance is excellent. Anyways, it's a brilliant start and it wouldn't take a whole lot to make it really shine.
That's a problem of the author or converter not starting the topic. Perhaps the guy has no idea this forum exists.
Yeah, it's unfortunate there isn't a more centralized system (kind of like what RFC used to be, which seems to have fallen out of favor of late). Ash74 is registered here, though he hasn't been active recently, so I'll just hope he sees it. If he's still interested in track development, I can only hope that he's motivated enough to continue improving it, and hopefully knowing that his work is admired and appreciated might help.
are there more V8 street tracks (such as Sydney) available for rF2? besides this one I got Canberra and Townsville only. links please?
Sydney Homebush street track needs converting too please (rF1 link http://uloz.to/xJM7hGFm/rgpl-v8sc-rar)
