Building new pc and question about activation

    I am getting all my goodies to build my nw pc Friday. Do i use the same activation code i got originally to re-activate the game when i get my new pc running? Thanks

    Save this folder
    C:\Users\users account name\AppData\Roaming\.rFactor

    Can't seem to find that file in my documents under rfactor2

    Yes, you just need to reactivate the software using your activation code.

    I dont think saving the license folder will help in your case, because the new PC will have different hardware components, requiring a new activation.

    Saving the license folder, btw, is a good way to delay/save the annoyance to ask a activation reset after 5 formats of the same system. :)

    It's a hidden folder, so you have to setup windows explorer to show these kind of files/folders.

    As an alternative, of course you can use your original activation code with the new pc. You have 5 activations available. Once they are all used due to reinstalling os/changing pc hardware, you can contact ISI and they will reset the counter to 5 activations available.

    For future reference the easiest way to get to this folder is by pressing WINDOWS KEY + R and typing %appdata% into run command

    No the easiest way is to make a shortcut and pin it somewhere........... or you be typing every time you want it.

    Gee thanks for that DD... totally pointless... Me I prefer to keep the desktop tidy and clutter free

    I don't think DD's remark was "totally pointless" as there are some who would like to have a shortcut to the folder in their start menu. By doing this there is no clutter what so ever on the desktop.
