Regarding the ALT+TAB bug... I only have it when playing online, it works fine in singleplayer, but I wish it was the opposite

It looks like it's very common, are there anyone that escaped it??

 

Not really.
Moving something from SSD to a different disk takes a lot of time.

 

Don't use alt-tab? I'm sure that will do the trick.

Ronnie I need to alt-tab out sometimes to start x-sim. Thankfully my copy hasn't ctd'd during alt-tab on single player yet.

 

Have you tried running in windowed mode at the same resolution to see if it happens?

 

Where is incremental patch? Not gonna install everything again.

Just tried this, but it seems not to always work. I downloaded Lite installer and installed over old install (kept the preselected components to install checkboxes unchanged). After that I got a "rfactor2 stopped working" right after starting single or multiplayer.
Luckily I backuped the whole rfactor2 folder before.

Installing over previous install is updating, nothing like a clean install.

 

Clean install all the way for me and rarely have I had any problems.

Personally I`d never install a new build over a previous one but each to his own.

 

+1 to this. Running full installer over previous install means any existing files get replaced. I don't really see what the potential issues could be.

 

Well didn't read all the 17 pages, but is there any oficial words about how to update?
Looks like the only way is to uninstall and install again. Is it safe to backup setting files?
Or can we hope for auto update fixed in a close future?
One more question. Are all ISI single mods released included on the full install version?

 

Thanks ISI! This update has given me a major performance boost plus I can now enable HDR when using my 3 5870's. Game play is like butter now and multiview is now usable.......keep up the good work

 

I just did this and it all worked ok except my Formula Renault world series doesnt load after you select it to race , the icon is there to select it just dont load it , the mod manager says its all installed .

The only thing I did prior to installing the 1gig 218 installer was backup my packages directory to another folder leaving the Packages folder empty , like I say all working except for Formula Renault Series .

 

Has anyone ever lost their plr directory? All I have is controller folder now? Just poof out of nowhere. I was going to make trackir settings and I have no plr file or user directory other than controller folder?

 

i thought the plr file is made when launching the game if one isn't present...the game makes it
