Hi, testing phase. Live timing and map rendering working fine but im also trying to save the best laps from live streaming just in case someone leaves session before it ends as these wont be in xml

    Hi B1K3R,

I thought I would give this a go last night and set it all up and working with AI on a test virtual machine on my local PC and its brilliant!!

I got one issue to tidy up and resolve and that is the track mapping. I get a registration/login page to use the tool. Registration or login does not seem to work. If I register it seems to do something if I login it keeps just jumping me back to login. Does it send out a activation email? If so that would explain it as its on a local server not setup to send outgoing email. Any tips on how to get a login to I can test out the track mapping tool.

    Leon

    Hi Leon,

Yeah, registration does not work for now. Login is only available for admins and I can give you the login/pass through pm. However, I think you installed the old version (v0.9) which renders everything through database and also you have the old rf2 plugin-in which writes data to text files and this created rf2 servers to lag.

So, I'm writing a new version, where the plugin-in streams data through sockets and the site renders the data directly from sockets (and not from database) so its even faster. The version you have will be dumped and replaced by the new version, sorry for the hassle, but at least you learnt how to install it as it will be similar.

I suggest you wait a bit, it wont be long now until I'll release the new version.

    Thanks!

Cheers for the quick reply back :)

Yeah wouldn't mind just taking a look if that's cool?

Will also be waiting patiently for the new version. Yes I am on v0.9.

I also have some queries on using this in a commercial application which I can talk to you via PM about?

    Leon

    Hi,

First stage of testing went well and most obvious bugs have been ironed out. Still lots of things to fix, update, add and polish but getting there. The results page is not 100% ready but almost done too. The live timing app is also mobile enabled, so those viewing from mobile/tablet will have a better experience. But this is not 100% ready either. At this stage, I feel it's safe to say that those who are interested to test it on their server can send me a private message and I'll send a link with the install. Have not packaged the files yet and install document but I will do in the next few days. Once everyone is happy, I'll release to all.

Please note that you need the following for this to work:

    1. MySQL 5.x
    2. .Net 4.0 or above
    3. IIS or any web server that can host ASP.NET
    4. Ability to have another open port other that port 80 as data is streamed through web sockets on the web for faster rendering

    Hi B1K3R,

Whilst looking at the broadcast listernet and loader I noticed there is an option for rfactor1. Can rfactor1 work with the web framework you have built? Does it require a different plugin to work?

Hi mate, hopefully it will be for rf1 as well. But I still need to port the plugin and I remember there was a small issue with it but I think I'll get around it.

Thanks for offering to test it, I'll send the install files later this week!

    Cheers

Note to those who send me a PM: I'm doing my utmost best to give you the install files by this Friday. thanks!

    Hi B1K3R
your work is excellent my friend.
At the moment I'm stuck with version 7.
There are too many errors in the sql database.
I think my Windows Vista is not compatible, I will soon change the Windows and take the test.

Thanks mate. If you want and give me access to your server, we can have an online session this week and I can check your mySQL installation ;)

Thanks to the community, lots of issues have been fixed. This is how the latest version looks. I'm trying to make it not heavy to load data.

I now have this app sitting on my server in Europe. So if someone wants to make use of it, please contact me and I'll point it to your server. It will be used as showcase for others to see the progress.

All you need is rF2 servers running, mySQL (has to be accessible from outside) and the ability to transmit udp data to the web on a specific port. server cannot be very far away from London please.

    Cheers
