to eliminate possible causes... try, do a clean install. (100% fresh) 1) rename your current installed rf2 folders to rFactor2_backup (no need to delete or uninstall anything) 2) install build 156 full. (do-not copy any old userdata files into this install) 3) install only ISI content to packages/mod manager. 4) test.
Hey, shall i also delete the rFactor 2 folder in the document directory? Nevermind, yes i have to €dit: Absolutely fresh install done. Did all what you said including the backup folder. It didnt help again
Have you updated your system software to the latest? (Drivers, Windows, etc.) I often find that installing all available updates soves some weird problems. Also, have you used tools to "tune/tweak" your system, those can mess things up quite badly at times. Or have you employed tweaks yourself?
that should eliminate the game as a suspect. - look at windows "event viewer" for any clues of whats causing the crash. - if your over clocking cpu, memory, gpu, set it all to default. (test game play) - in the rf2 folder is Support\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe, run it. (test game play) - you say it worked with older builds, might try a roll back to before the problem started. just more process of elimination... troubleshooting.

Hey, thanks for the link. Cant try MP cause the build doesn work with this servers. Singleplayer doesnt work either. I start SP, it shows me the blue loading screen for 2 seconds, and then it crashes. I'll try different Graphic card drivers today and see if that helps..
How can help ProTraX and Snijboon with this problem??? Anyone else with this problem?? Even Singleplayer doesn't work???
I have rebooted my system. I have a HP computer and used the boot dvd's to go back to factory settings. After the install i have downloaded the 156 build version and installed it. Yesterday it worked for me so tonight I will find out if it's good enough
Since rolling back to build 146 didn´t work either and that one worked before apparently, there must be a problem somewhere in your system, I´m afraid.
As i said, i changend nothing on my PC. I only updated the build and thats it. No new software, drivers etc. All the same as before
Do you have windows 'system restore' active? you could try restoring your OS back to before the trouble.
Hello thanks for all tipps, my update to 156 also went wrong. Single and Multiplayer mode can load track and show the Pits Menu. But start of race suddenly crashes do desktop. Only Dev mode and runs with Joesville Track. (I use the MoTeC and also TrackMap Plugin) I was happy to install nearly all mods. Any hints, what went wrong? I now tring to reinstall rf2 instead of updating, hope this works. Leonardo
Hi Change of video res also crashes and leaves with a black screen. (could be that this was in earlier builds too) Change of user interface (in customize menu) crashes and leaves with a black screen. (But it remembers the change) Leonardo
