Ok, I didn't realize there were two flavors of cars. I just changed the skippy to the national version and this one is a lot more tame and I was having a blast lapping around limerock. Superb! I'll give the regional another shot once I get better with the national. Well done guys.
Ok, a few quick thoughts on b125 so far... I`ve noticed the missing building at historic Monaco... woa... Anyway, I know this has been well documented already. I`ve tried various other tracks... Belgium, Monza (or Brianza lol) LRP, Croft, Mid Ohio with various cars and never noticed any other missing/transparent buildings. With HDR off I was getting the "running black shadows" bug running along curbs, armco and bales etc but when HDR is turned on this bug doesn`t show up at all, everything is fine. Seem to have a good fps increase with this build too. Loving the Skip Barber and LRP... awesome combination but a great little track for other cars too.
Aside from any possible performance gain from build 125 (to which i mentioned earlier i wasn't sure if 125 has done so having been away for a while and that i've experienced overall a huger performance increase be it from new nvidia drivers or something else), but i've just realised how much of a performance hit i was getting from overusing my VRAM with the texture quality/resolution and shadow quality/resolution on Ultra. I knocked them both down to High (with no noticeable visual fidelity difference) and i now get a solid 60fps without any dips in the pits at palm beach with 25 other AI cars. Absolutely amazing scaling/performance from this game with SLI. Also using adaptive vsync in nvidia control panel as i found it works best at keeping fps solid 60 without any micro stutter that normal vsync can produce. I can't emphasis enough how happy my two cards (now really cheap to buy btw) can pretty much max out the gfx settings 95%.
I cannot seem to select any HDR profiles. The realtime monitor always shows "None" as the only option even though I can see that the stock tracks have .HDP files in them. Am I doing something wrong? EDIT: Lime Rock Park works, but none of the other stock tracks I have tried. Where do you configure HDR profiles in a packaged track? EDIT2: Got it, all stock track HDR profiles lack a name at the top of the profile, which makes the game ignore them. Only the Lime Rock Park profiles have names. Example: Code: ProfileName=Realistic
Yes, same here, is there a fix or what is the solution, I've been searching but haven't seen anything yet.
Someone mentioned Crossfire was working for them. Still not for me and it probably never will with my, now becoming dated, 5870's.
Just saw what I first thought was a broken mirage effect but... ...it's a part of the track missing. Far distance in replay.
in some tracks I get 100fps but it seems like 30 or stuttering. from the moment I use vsync (only video can sync for me) it's so damn smooth.
Try GPU sync and set max fps in PLR to your monitors refresh rate. (Somewere in the Graphics section). Works for me with no apparent lag.
I too have transparent Trees (some crowd too) in Belgium and Mills. LRP seems fine though. Am running latest 310.64 beta nvidia driver.
